Decision Resources, Inc. (DRI) is pleased to announce that Wes Jacobs has been promoted to the role of business consulting manager for manufacturing and operations. In this new role, Mr. Jacobs will focus on improving operations of the DRI services team, with a focus on individual team member growth and departmental leadership. As the business consulting manager for manufacturing and operations, Mr. Jacobs will be responsible for managing consultant teams in the design, development, and delivery of client solutions; ensuring the successful delivery of technical projects, particularly through scheduling and monitoring planned and reactive work activities; and providing direction, advice, and leadership to clients and manufacturing consultants.
The promotion of Mr. Jacobs follows the creation of three new roles within the services department at DRI. The new roles were created as an initiative to further embrace two of DRI’s core values: “care about our clients” and “embrace best practices in business and technology.” The goal in creating these new positions is to improve customer engagements by creating more streamlined oversight of projects.
Prior to his promotion, Mr. Jacobs held the role of engagement manager at DRI, where he was responsible for client interaction and project success. Additionally, Mr. Jacobs has over 30 years’ experience working with Infor enterprise resource planning (ERP) products and has held the positions of president, vice president of operations, and general manager at various manufacturing companies.
“Wes has been an important part of the DRI team for several years,” said Ron McClellan, director of services operations at DRI. “During that time, he has demonstrated his expert skills related to manufacturing and helping our clients realize the benefits of their ERP solution.”
Mr. Jacobs is excited for his new role and the future of DRI. “Over the past three years working at DRI, I’ve seen firsthand that our consultants care about our clients, producing a high-quality solution based on best practices, and building a legacy as the best in its industry,” said Mr. Jacobs. “The promotion to business consulting manager for manufacturing and operations will enable me to be a part of an exciting future.”
